About Barney Flannery Osteopaths
Barney Flannery Osteopaths was established in 1998 and, since then, has been treating both the local and widespread community. From our practice we offer treatments tailored to your specific needs, resulting in fast, effective and long lasting relief. We have three practitioners who cover a range of daytime and evening clinic hours enabling you to obtain treatment at a time that suits you (see “contact us” for full details of our opening times).
Osteopathy is a hand’s on therapy which aims to help the body alignment and function. We are particularly concerned with maintaining correct relationships between bones, muscles and connective tissues. As Osteopaths, palpitation/touch is important to us as a diagnostic tool to find and treat the primary problem. Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy which mixes soft tissue techniques like deep tissue massage with joint mobilisations and manipulations to improve overall musculoskeletal health and function. Practicing Osteopaths in Ireland have to be registered with either the Osteopathic Council of Ireland or the General Osteopathic Council in England . This ensures that they are fully qualified, insured and partake in on-going professional development.
